Finlay Since he started wearing the DogLeggs he has not touched the wound and there has been some improvement. |
From the MCOA groups list: 1/16/04 I agree with Lisa on NO DRAINING!! it creates a scar that remains lumpy, it opens an avenue for infection at a joint....it does not guarantee that it will not recur. With Muldoon I used the DOGLEGGS elbow pads and bag balm. The bag balm made the fleece dogleggs gunky but at least it kept the ointment ON the elbow and not on my carpets. It did wash out eventually too!! the great thing about DOGLEGGS is that they will get rid of the callous itself if you are diligent about putting them on your dog. Muldoon was a vigorous, full of spunk, tear around the yard (still is all those things) 15 month old when his developed. The DogLeggs were a godsend for my older bitch Harlot who had friction sores on her elbows from being lame a great deal, they gave her comfort in her last days and helped to heal those sores. Schon Gross (inventor of DogLeggs) will do her best to make a pair for your dog that fits and stays in place. She has won numerous awards for her designs and works with rehab clinics through out the US to find ways to help patients with her products (she makes more than DogLeggs or even invents new stuff for new problems!) her website is well worth a visit. www.dogleggs.com Shelly Nixon |
Shenandoah Schon recommended Shenandoah be put on the K-9 Kraving Raw Diet. Needless to say her suggestion has been great, Shenandoah has muscled up and his coat looks fantastic! Many thanks to such a helpful and caring Fran C., Luray, VA |

The DogLeggs are GREAT!! My retired guide dog, Bonnet, had developed a sore on her elbow. It's now healed and the hair is growing back. She's still very active at age 11. She loves to swim, but because of the sore she wasn't able to go. Now she can go swimming. Attached are some Photos. |
